explore the meaning of life with alpha at the upper room
Are you wondering what life is all about, do you lack real purpose and direction?
Alpha allows you to ask some of those questions in a non-threatening manner.
Perhaps the answer lies in Christianity, perhaps you feel that Christianity is Boring, Untrue and Irrelevant.
why not come along on a journey of exploration?
The Alpha course is a ten-week evening class run on Wednesday evenings between 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm at the upper room building.
Each session starts with a light supper and then a speaker addresses one of the following questions of life, such as
> 'Who is Jesus?' > 'Why did Jesus die?' > 'What does the Holy Spirit do?' > 'Is the Bible reliable?' > 'How can I be sure of my faith?' > 'Why and how do I pray?' > 'Does God heal today?'
You then have your chance to discuss the topic in small groups letting you challenge, question and explore the issues raised.
This is a really informal introduction to the Christian faith and allows you to explore life with others who themselves are searching. There is no hard sell and no jargon.
