children and the upper room
We believe that children are precious to God and that they are an important part of the church and the family of God.
It is our pleasure to welcome children to the upper room and to help them in a variety of ways to learn more about Jesus, and to develop them in character, calling, relationship and service.
Mid-week for children
Praise The Lord (PTL) Club "Excellent", ........ "The
best playgroup I've been to."
Our aim is to encourage friendship and fun for all that attend.
Open Wednesdays 10:00 am - 11:30 am for Free Play Thursdays 9:30 am - 11:00 am for member families
On Wednesdays the session is free play where the children are able to play with their parents/carer with the toys provided, stopping only for refreshments.
Thursdays are slightly different. we have a story followed by organised craft, game or song. After refreshments there is time for free play and fun!
The parents and carers are encouraged to play and chat with their children and others.
Last year we only ran the Thursday group, but found that our numbers had grown and we had a waiting list. Following this we started the Wednesday session.

Weekends for children Each Sunday at about 11:15 am the children split off from the main Sunday meeting, there is a crèche and Sunday school which runs for the rest of the morning.
Family Services On the last Sunday of the month the children stop up in the main meeting with their families and we celebrate with an all age family meeting.
Afterwards there are refreshments and times for chat in the coffee bar.

The upper room regards the safety of children as paramount and operates under the cover of a child protection policy.
