called to worship
Our whole lives are called to be worship to God. In our meetings we seek to encourage those who attend to walk more closely with God and to help each other in this walk.
Our worship services are in a modern informal style, and visitors friends and family are always welcome.
We begin with a period of worship songs, in which we express our love and thanks to God. Practical teaching from the Bible follows the announcements.
There is always opportunity to receive prayer for personal needs, or healing at the end of each meeting. We value prayer a great deal here.
We cater for the whole family, there is a creche during the Sunday morning service, and a Sunday school, which provides a full range of activities for children and young people.
As well as worship services the upper room is committed to providing practical help in the community, and internationally through our mission support.

called to pray
Prayer forms an important part of the life of the upper room, as individuals and as a body of people. Prayer is our communication with God, giving thanks, asking for help, for direction, and praying for the needs of others.
We have committed ourselves to regularly praying for the town and for individuals. If you have a prayer need get in touch with us and we will pray for you. All requests are treated with respect and in confidence.
